High School Teachers and University Professors
Samara recently partnered with Historica Canada to produce “Representing You: Members of Parliament On the Job,” an educational booklet that explores the role of Canadian MPs through first-hand accounts of former parliamentarians. We would like to adapt more of our projects into learning materials that can be used to teach students about Canadian democracy.
We also offer teachers a range of audio-visual resources, including online seminars (webinars) for classes or schools, and recordings of our Massey-Samara Seminars with leading public affairs journalists.
Samara is always looking for ways to expand its reach into schools and universities, and we’d like to get your feedback on how we can develop our learning materials so that they best meet the needs of your curriculum.
If you are passionate about teaching civics and engaging students in the democratic process, we invite you to become one of Samara’s Partners in the Classroom. You can explore our teaching resources – all available on our website for free - and send us your thoughts, suggestions and critiques on how we can strengthen our work and improve our learning materials in the future.
To join our volunteer teachers team, please email your resume to Kendall Anderson through our Contact Us page, indicating which subject(s) and at what level you teach.
