The results are in for Samara’s contest to discover the Best Democratic Moment of 2011. The competition was fierce but the winner, with 29% of the vote, was the Occupy movement. The race for second, third and fourth places were very close, with the mourning of Jack Layton at 20%, the election of four female premiers at 19% and the youth engagement initiatives at 18%. In fifth place was the May 2011 election with 14%.
