2015 EPCitizen nominee: Harnoor Gill

Harnoor Gill founded the Peace Welcome Club at age 14, in order to encourage youth to get involved in volunteering opportunities. Harnoor volunteers with many local organizations including Willow Park Ecology Centre, Town of Halton Hills and Halton Children’s Aid Society and is dedicated to raising awareness about youth volunteering among youth worldwide.

Additionally, he has taken the opportunity during previous municipal and provincial elections to raise the profile about youth issues in each election by reaching out to candidates to ask about their youth platforms and by writing about the results in letters to the editor and even a published article
