2017 EPC Nominee: Gabriela Gonzalez

Gabriela EPC

Gabriela Gonzalez of Toronto, ON, was nominated by Kevin Vuong

I first met Gabriela at Queen’s Park as a fellow citizen in support of MPP Han Dong’s much-needed Private Members’ Bill to make elevators in Ontario more reliable (you can probably guess what it’s called - The Reliable Elevators Act).

When she’s not advocating for safety and reliability in our vertical communities, Gabriela is championing bike lanes and pedestrian safety. She also finds time to volunteer on the board of Parkdale Community Legal Services, a Toronto community legal clinic.

Not only is Gabriela making Parkdale safer, she’s showing other neighbourhoods and community leaders the power of an engaged citizen, of an Everyday Political Citizen. We need more people like Gabriela!
