Want to “DIY” Democracy Talks? Help reinvigorate Canada’s political culture from the comfort of your board room, living room, kitchen table or classroom.

Samara encourages Canadians across the country to download our Democracy Talks toolset and go! Individuals can draw on our facilitation guides and handouts, using them in part or as a whole set, to guide a democracy dinner party or a “Civics 5 à 7.” In the coming months Samara also will release a set of DT games and tools that will make it even easier for Canadians to connect politics to play.

We are using the feedback and ideas generated during these talks for our ongoing research into political engagement in Canada. If you’re using DT resources to guide a political conversation with your network, don’t forget to share your discussion highlights and key findings with us at       info[@]

Fifty MPs from all parties, including all four party leaders, agreed to host two kids for the entire day—allowing them unprecedented access to the inner workings of Parliament, and inspiring the next generation of leaders in the process. One of those students, Rachel Barry, shared her experience with us!
