2017 EPC Nominee: Amanda Kingsley Malo

Amanda Kingsley Malo of Sudbury, ON, was nominated by PoliticsNOW

Amanda is an elementary school teacher, a dedicated volunteer on political campaigns, and the founder of PoliticsNOW, a grassroots organization that aims to engage, encourage and support women in municipal politics in Northern Ontario.

Through PoliticsNOW, Amanda has created a variety of programs to engage women to get more involved in politics in their city, such as city council “field trips” where a group sits in the gallery for council meetings; InspireNOW, a speaker series that invites inspiring women in the community to share their story in an intimate setting; and a campaign bootcamp that will help prepare women for a successful city council campaign.
