2017 EPC Nominee: Nadine Nakagawa

Nadine EPC

Nadine Nakagawa of New Westminster, BC, was nominated by Rodney Stehr

I don’t think New Westminster knew what it was in for when Nadine Nakagawa rolled into town. It is daunting trying to list all of her accomplishments: setting up community gardens and rent banks, working with community to push for action and organize dialogues on Truth and Reconciliation, bridging community through mural paintings, fostering meaningful opportunities for youth, helping guide people to the services they need through her work as a constituency assistant, and innumerable other projects, committees, and environmental initiatives that couldn’t possibly fit into 150 words.

There is no area of New Westminster that Nadine has not had some hand in molding in a positive, inclusive way. Nadine is an honest and passionate advocate for New Westminster. Her tremendous skill and drive is helping create a city that is accountable to its past, and working towards a sustainable, and equitable future.
