2017 EPC Nominee: Kavita Dogra

Kavita EPC

Kavita Dogra of Toronto, ON, was nominated by Amy Stuart

Kavita Dogra founded “We Talk Women” in 2012. Its mission is to “engage citizens in a conversation that will break the silence that most often surrounds women’s rights injustices and sexual, physical, emotional violence.”

I met Kavita in 2016 when we were both on the planning committee for the 2017 Toronto Women’ March, an event that she emceed in front of a crowd of 50,000+ people. I am in awe of Kavita’s enormous commitment to advocacy. She engages with politicians at all levels to improve the lives of women and girls locally and beyond.
