2017 EPC Nominee: Serisha Iyar

Serisha EPC

Serisha Iyar of Georgetown, ON, was nominated by Victoria Linel

Serisha Iyar will do anything to prove that there are enough hours in a day to help others and to fight for what you believe in. She continuously inspires all of those around her to be as passionate as she is about providing equal opportunities to everyone.

As the co-president of McGill Women in Leadership Students’ Association, Serisha organized over 50 events welcoming women from a variety of career fields to share their stories. During their annual Trailblazers’ Testimonies Conference, Serisha had a clear objective: to make the event inclusive, accessible, and representative. For the first time, the panel of speakers consisted of diverse women. Her determination to provide students with the opportunity to learn from speakers of all backgrounds is empowering. Serisha is the most selfless person I have met, and she is an exemplary leader who cares deeply about giving her time to others.
